My 6 year old daughter saved up to buy a Happy Napper. Unfortunately it is cheaply made and ripped at the seam and started coming apart. Cute but a waste of money!

I purchased a Happy Nappers for my grandson’s birthday and he absolutely loves it! He is able to ring the doorbell, hear the dog snore and do his little bark as he’s waking up then easily unzip the doghouse to pop him out for a day of play. When bedtime comes, just zip the dog back into his doghouse and he’s got a perfect pillow. Getting the dog back into the house requires a little assistance but is easily incorporated into the bedtime ritual.

    Not Comfortable, May 21, 2011

The plush fabric was to be expected. It’s soft but cheap. I’ve always enjoyed the idea of having things like blankets and stuffed animals to turn into pillows and vice versa, but this was kind of a fail. The stuffed animal part was super cute and it’s good looking, but when you turn it into a pillow, it’s not that fabulous. It’s quite lumpy and the zipper is always in the way and gets caught in things. Might as well get a pillow pet.

The description on the product that says 3.5 x 3.5 x 1 inches is misleading. That’s the dimension of the entire round tin. Each cookie cutter is less than 2″ x 2″. That’s only good for a teacup or toy dog. I have uploaded a picture. Please take a look before you buy.

I really love these cookie cutters. To give you some idea of size, the bone cutter is probably about 1 3/4 long. Its about the size of commercial treats for small to medium dogs, so if you’ve got a big dog you might not like these. I even tried the recipe it comes with, and she liked it. We actually tried four recipes, and her favorite was the Peanut Butter Pumpkin dog treats from allrecipes.com: […](a close second was the cheesy beef from the same website).

I do have some complaints. The bottom of the house and the legs of the dog cutters are too small, and end up looking deformed and often burning. I generally just stick with the bone, the fire hydrant and the paw. I also suppose that they are sort of flimsy, but really i’m not using them every day (I made four batches in August that will last me until christmas, and gave about half of them away to other dog owners) so I doubt they’ll ever break on me.

I tried to make tiny sugar cookies and these cutters were so flimsy they wouldn’t even cut through the dough, plus the first time I washed and dried them I found rust all over the edges the next day. I certainly wouldn’t want to use them on anything food related. Maybe they might make a good drawing stencil.
