You want to give mini-Fido a comfortable and enjoyable ride. Though it may seem like the perfect spot is curled up on your lap, this is not the case. The Kurgo Skybox Booster Seat offers a secure alternative by providing enough elevation for mini-Fido to have a clear view of the road ahead and a comfortable, padded seat to snuggle down on longer trips. A tether on the inside of the seat helps keep mini-Fido restrained and reduces distraction. The best part is they are still within arm’s reach when you have the desire to scratch their belly.

My terrier is much safer now.,
My Jack Russell mix terrier has always liked to ride on my lap. But with a new baby on the way I need to change the rules! He likes the skybox so far, and even gets into it on his own. He is a little over 14 lbs. and about 14 inches tall (long legs). This booster seat supports his weight no problem and the sides are just barely tall enough to surround him well. He actually likes it! It is big enough on the inside for him to lay down with his chin on the side to look outside. The skybox seems very well made with the metal frame and cushy pad in the bottom. It was a piece of cake to install in the backseat of my Toyota Camry. I just released the back seat latch to lean the seat forward and attached the strap around the seat (the strap goes behind the seat within the trunk compartment no problem) and I have headrests in the back too. So with both straps attached it seems very very secure and doesn’t move at all.

Dogs love it!,
We purchased this car seat because needed one more when we adopted two Japanese Chins from a rescue shelter. It arrived promptly and was packaged great. When I un-boxed it I was overcome by an extremely heavy chemical smell. So much so I was initially afraid to use it for fear that it (the fumes) would harm our precious dog(s). I let it air outside for a couple days and we even took the cover off and washed it but it still smelled horrible. We had to take a trip with the boys so we was forced to use it. The instructions were not that easy to interpret. The pictures didn’t support the verbal instructions very well. Not clear at all. Once I figured out how to install it I had no trouble getting it fitted to the front seat of my SUV. So I think it is a good seat at a good price but the odorous fumes make me wonder if the company is more concerned about protecting the fabric during storage and shipping and less about the dogs.

cute and useful,
Kurgo Sky Box is perfect for my Italian Greyhound. She jumps right in, and hangs her head over the side while we drive. I feel she is much safer if there were to be an accident. You should probably deactivate the passenger side airbag. Part of the beauty of this design is that it is suspended over the seat, so no weight rests on the sensor that would activate the airbag and start that annoying boing boing telling you to fasten the seatbelt on that side. It’s a breeze to install or take out. Must note that the cute orange liner doesn’t stay in place very well.
