The ONLY Leash That Locks in the Correct Direction!,
I’ve owned two of these leashes. (The first my dog ate because I wasn’t watching him, so I got a second.) For the replacement, I tried other leashes, but none of them measured up, so I went searching for this product because my grocery store stopped carrying it, and it worked so well I didn’t want to be without it.
Here’s why this is the best leash: When the dog tries to chase after something, they pull away from you, and in return you pull backwards on the leash, in the opposite direction that the dog is going. The locking mechanism for this leash is under your thumb, and you pull backwards to lock the leash. I don’t know why this is the only leash that locks backwards. Everything else requires you to push the lock forward, in the opposite direction that you are pulling to control the dog. Those types are very awkward.
It also continues to stay locked until the dog slacks, and stops pulling, to release the lock, which also makes sense. You don’t have to exert extra energy to maintain the lock on the leash. It’s just works with your natural tendencies, and forces your dog to behave themselves in order to get unlocked. Good work, Hagen.

|Best Retractable Leash I Have Ever Ordered-Owned,
This is the best retarctable leash I have ever ordered for my dog. The one review I read on Amazon promted me to order this particular model. The review was extremely helpful. It is just the very best constructed retractable leash I have ever purchased. I totally agree with the previous customer review: the controls are 100% ergonomic, truly this is the only leash that offers the stop option in the reverse direction of the motion of your pet and IMHO that is a huge selling point. The refelctors on the sides are a nice addition, I like the fact that the actual tpae is also reflective. I am very happy with my purchase and I highly recommend this product to all dog owners. Oh, and the price, 20 bucks. The price for this was awesome. I got this leash here at Amazon for about half what it usually costs in the store, and for less than ot costs on eBay. So overall, made me happy and Cocoa is happy.

|Tape Leash Twisting,
I bought this item because the flexi retractable leash that I had broke 6 months after use. Though this product is well built (good materials and features), the tape leash just keeps on twisting to a point where it gets stuck and would not retract anymore. This retractable leash does not have the “ball” like guide that the flexi brand has to avoid twisting on the tape leash while it retracts. Unfortunately, this didn’t work for me. I find it too troublesome always having to put my fingers to guide the leash flat everytime I have to retract it. It can also be dangerous in instances where one is unable to retract your dog.
